The LHRC's Fall Rowing Programs on beautiful Bantam Lake offer a positive and fun environment to either begin your rowing career or simply sharpen your skills. We offer a variety of programs to match skill level and competitive interest for rowers of all athletic backgrounds and ages (12 and over).

Youth tune up

START DATE: Monday, August 26, 2019

Week to help get Jr. rowers back in shape after having the summer off before the fall season starts. Great opportunity to introduce athletes to the sport and team. Current athletes should attend to begin prep of a successful fall to spring campaign.

Youth

START DATE: Tuesday, September 3, 2019

Athletes of high school age 9-12 grade, or U-23 eligible athlete. This program is designed to build athletes boat moving ability in sculling and sweep while developing fitness for the coming fall season.

Youth Cox

START DATE: Tuesday, September 3, 2019

Coxswain is an athlete who has shown interest and capacity to be a coxswain (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coxswain) athlete interested in this position should speak to the coach and will still be expected to participate in all physical capacities of as the rowers including rowing at times to develop skills.

Masters Competitive

START DATE: Monday,August 26, 2019

This program targets the adult rower with a more serious mind for the sport. Those who join should be willing to commit to a consistent training schedule and a plan to compete in at least one regatta per season. To determine aptitude for this program, a coach's review may also be required.

Masters Recreational

START DATE: Tuesday, September 3, 2019

This program aims to improve your rowing skills while allowing you to enjoy the outdoors. A typical rower in this program has been rowing for years or just learned how to row but doesn't wish to commit to a consistent training schedule and/or a plan to compete.

Development Program

START DATE: Monday, September 9, 2019

The Development Program is designed to introduce new youth rowers to the sport and provide further development to current members of the LHRC Dev team. Skills in both sweep and sculling boats will be improved.  Youth athletes in 6-8th grade. This is not for high school athletes.
