IMPORTANT DETAILS
LHRC Masters Rowing Overview
“Masters” is the rowing term for adults over 22 years old. At LHRC, we have many different programs for all walks of adult life. Rowing is for everyone. Whether you simply have a love of rowing, a competitive edge, an appreciation for being on the water, or a desire for a skill-focused sweat session, we have a program for you. Each of our Masters provides an environment that focuses on fitness and helps you achieve levels you may have never thought you would hit past your 20s, all while working with a supportive and amazing group of similar-minded, hard-working adults. Many of our Masters discovered our wonderful sport in their 40s, 50s, and 60s, so it’s never too late to start. Join us now!
Competitive
Train in a team environment, compete with others on your team or other clubs, and travel to races. Our Competitive program is for those who find that competition brings out their best selves or who like having others to hold them accountable while enhancing rowing skills and fitness.
Intermediate
For athletes who recently completed learn-to-row and want a little more guidance and experience on the water before jumping into our Competitive/JV or Rec programs.
Rec
Our Rec programs offer rowing to anyone who has completed a learn-to-row program and is getting more comfortable on the water. Our rec rowers include recent learn-to-row graduates all the way up to those with decades of rowing experience who want to row in a more relaxed environment. This program allows our rowers to enjoy our beautiful lake and experience the joy of rowing. We focus on skill improvements and some fun & friendly intrasquad competition.
Learn-to-Row
Our learn-to-row program is for rowers who have yet to touch an oar. We’ll start with the basics and get you comfortable in a boat in no time. Give rowing a try, and then choose the path that works for you!
If you have any questions about which program makes the most sense to you, contact Coach Drew or send us a message.
