Financial Aid

The sport of rowing can be expensive. Understanding this, we have set up a financial aid program for those parents who want their child to row but feel it would be too much of a burden on them financially. Please fill out the form and we will review it and let you know our decision quickly.

More info:

  • Financial aid is available for youth (junior) athletes only.

  • Please do not use the normal registration page to sign up for a program. This form will be for financial aid as well as registration for a program.

  • You can not combine financial aid with any other discounts. For example, you can not apply for aid as well as the family discount. If you have multiple kids in the program we will take that into account when awarding aid.

  • Regatta fees must be paid separately prior to each event. Again we will take into account how much is the expected fees and other expenses when awarding financial aid.

  • Please try to apply before the start of the season. There is a 2-week grace period once the season starts, but it will help us budget how much aid to award if you apply before the start of the season.

  • Your application and information will be kept confidential. Outside of the Financial Aid Committee, no other members of the club will know who applied or who received an award.

  • While we will look at numbers (your income), we will take other factors into account when awarding aid. Ex., available funds, number of requests, the difficulty many people have experienced the past year, etc.

  • After you apply please send supporting documents (paystubs but please no tax returns) to lhrcfa@gmail.com
