Regatta to End ALZ
Head of the Swain | Bantam Lake | August 15, 2026
This summer, Litchfield Hills Rowing Club is proud to host the Regatta to End ALZ, the first rowing regatta dedicated to supporting the fight against Alzheimer’s.
Held on Bantam Lake in Litchfield, Connecticut, the Regatta to End ALZ is part of LHRC’s annual Head of the Swain, our signature summer regatta and the culmination of months of training for youth and adult athletes. Families, friends, alumni, and supporters line the lake to cheer on competitors and celebrate the rowing community.
This year, the event carries an even greater purpose.
In partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, the Regatta to End ALZ transforms a beloved community tradition into an opportunity to support research, care, and advocacy for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

Why This Matters
Alzheimer’s affects millions of families across the country and touches communities everywhere — including our own.

This regatta is about more than racing.
It is about honoring loved ones, protecting memories, and standing together in the fight to end Alzheimer’s.
