Next Strokes
Take the next stroke in your rowing journey today…..
Next Strokes builds on the skills gained during First Strokes. Athletes continue improving rowing technique and fitness, train with friends, and work toward new goals with the support of LHRC coaches.
The program provides a year-round pathway for athletes who want to keep rowing, continue developing their fitness, and become more involved in the LHRC community.

-
Continue building confidence and skills on the water, with a focus on improving sweep rowing technique, boat handling, fitness, and working together as a crew. Space is limited, and fall training sessions will be capped to maintain appropriate athlete-to-coach ratios.
-
Build strength, fitness, and rowing endurance through structured indoor training at Litchfield Hills Fitness. Athletes will follow LHRC-designed training programs, participate in team fitness challenges, and have opportunities to compete in winter indoor rowing events. Weekly training plans will be provided so athletes can complete workouts during scheduled in-person sessions or independently.
-
Return to the water with an introduction to sculling while continuing to develop sweep rowing technique. Athletes will build confidence in both disciplines while improving fitness, boat handling, and overall rowing skills. Participants select either the morning or evening training option for the on-water portion of the spring season.
Cost: $1480 as a one time payment or 8 x $235 monthly payments (October - May)
