Private Boat Storage at LHRC

There are two options for storing a private boat at LHRC:

Option 1: Private Membership + Rack Fee

If you wish to launch independently and are not actively participating in at least two full programs, you must:

  • Pay the annual membership fee ($700), and

  • Pay the applicable rack fee (see below).

Option 2: Active Member (Rack Fee Only)

Athletes who are enrolled in at least two full seasons will:

  • Pay rack fee only (no membership fee).

Definition of full seasons:
Full Summer, Full Spring, and/or Full Fall programs

Examples that qualify:

Full Summer Competitive + Fall Rowing

Full Summer Recreational + Spring Rowing

Does not qualify:

Drop-ins

Two Summer sessions (i.e., Summer 1 & Summer 2, but not Summer 3)

Winter programs (not counted)

If you do not purchase a membership and later fall short of the two full-season requirement, you will be billed for the membership on October 1.
Extenuating circumstances (e.g., injury) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Payment Policy (New)

  • All rack fees and memberships are due March 15

  • Rolling payments are no longer offered

  • The storage year runs March 1 – February 28

  • Fees are not prorated

  • Boats added mid-year (if space allows) will be charged the full rack fee

A reminder email will be sent in mid-February.

Rack Usage & Boat Relocation Policy

As rack space becomes more valuable, LHRC is prioritizing active usage:

  • Boats used frequently will remain in easily accessible racks

  • Boats that are rarely used may be relocated to accommodate club shells or more active members

If relocation becomes necessary:

  • Owners will be notified in advance

  • Boats may be moved to a higher rack or a hanging rack

  • Owners are encouraged to contact us if they have concerns or anticipate increased usage
